About Me

Hey there! I'm Julian (he/him), and I'll be entering my final year of the Integrated Master's in Maths and Comp Sci at the University of Oxford.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, surrounded by STEM. Moving to Oxford allowed me to study my two favourite subjects full-time, to a level of rigour unlike anything else. I'm interestedi in probability theory, machine learning, and their applications. My upcoming Master's research project is on adaptive clinical trials, where we model accumulating evidence as a betting martingale. This will allow researchers at any point to continue the trial or stop early while preserving statistical validity.
